I remember stars, angels, birds, bells, bows. We have tried different toppers too - stars, angels, sun/moon. I would like to find the right star someday, but none of the ones I’ve seen have really called out at me. I enjoy being reminded of the beauty of nature and beginning of winter. A few years ago we found a beautiful European styled Nikolaus that sits atop our tree. He is regal and rustic, AND convenient, since “Santa Claus” is there and watching our boys!
